It occurred to me the other day that I know of at least four regular readers of this blog who have 2 or 3 little girls, and no boys.
I thought this was kind of funny, since I am the only thing - living & breathing or otherwise - in this house that is even remotely female.
This imbalance has actually led me to lean more toward my femininity: I enjoy wearing skirts more often than in times past, I like having pink things, and putting on jewelry. I am the feminine presence in this home and I take that job seriously. ;)
Our house is full of trucks and race cars, dinosaurs and army men.
Which made the following stow-aways a very startling contrast when we discovered them in a box of Legos formerly owned by me and my sister:
