Have you ever seen a little chihuahua that thinks it's a lab? Those little dogs don't know they aren't twice the size they really are, and they behave accordingly.
That is us. We are a 'little' family of five that thinks we are a family of at least 8 or 9. We buy peanut butter and salsa in bulk. We do head counts before we go anywhere. And our perspective of what constitutes 'lots' of kids is a little higher than average.
Earlier this week we had the privilege of meeting Suzanne from The Joyful Chaos and her wonderful family to play at a water park and playground.
It was joyful. And it was chaotic. And we loved every minute of it!

I have never known a chihuahua that thought he was a lab but I have known a poodle that thought he was a doberman.
I won't act like I'm not jealous. I am. But I did my pouting at Suzanne's blog yesterday :)
Glad you all had fun!
I am the same way! (Chad, uhm maybe notsomuch.) Between the 2 of us, my best friend and I have 6 kids. (1 boy, 5 girls, ages 13, 9, 7, 5, 5, & 4.) It is nothing for me to take all 6 to Wal-Mart, or the movies. 6 is just not that big a deal! Admittedly, it was a leeeetle harder when they were smaller, but again, enjoyable. It is just more fun with lots! Glad you enjoy it too!
I think 5 kids is still a lot to handle! Looks like you guys have a fun time though :)

Aw!! I love the view of the top of the kids heads.
I had such a good time!
Kathi - I say again - I'm sorry! I didn't know you two were bloggy friends, I'm dense. Soon - you and me - soon!!
Thanks again, Amy!
Boston Terriers like to think they are... well anything bigger and scarier than what they are. Chaos is the new norm.
I think it is one of those hidden surprises that God lets us in on when we are following in the path that he has for us... yes, it is chaotic, but oh, SO rewarding and enjoyable :-) I only have four of my own for now, but we are trying to axpand :-)We drive a fifteen passenger van and OFTEN carpool or "babysit" with/for friends. Last night we were on the way to an out of town swim meet and had the van loaded down... in the rearview mirror all I could see was kids... all ages of kids playing together (14yrs-18mos). Paper rock scissors, hand games, telling jokes, helping out the littler ones, singing songs together, and LAUGHING!!!! My heart was SO blessed!
What a great way to spend a day!!
